At Sacred Heart Primary School, our HRSE curriculum is broad, balanced, and grounded in the Department for Education’s statutory RSE guidance, as well as the CES model HRSE document.
We use Ten:Ten Resources’ Life to the Full scheme of work as the foundation for our teaching, adapting it where necessary to best meet the needs of our children and wider community.
Rooted in the core teachings of our faith and guided by our Gospel Values, our curriculum equips all learners with the knowledge, skills, and culture they need to thrive.
The HRSE curriculum offers rich, engaging, and creative learning experiences through the scheme of work, cross-curricular links, and a range of subject enrichment opportunities. Our planning is deliberately ambitious and inclusive, ensuring all pupils can access the full curriculum. It meets National Curriculum expectations and supports children in reaching their full potential academically, as well as in their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
