Class Dojo
To keep up to date with what is happening in school and to see how you child is getting on please join Class Dojo.
School or Class Link
If your teacher has shared their School or Class link with you, you will want to copy and paste this into your Google Chrome browser. After following the prompts, you will be connected to your child after the teacher has accepted your request to connect. Parent Code
Your parent code will be unique to your child. This will be an 8- or 9-digit code you receive from your child’s teacher. If they have not sent this code your way, you can contact them directly and ask them for this Parent code so you can properly connect. Email Invite
If your child’s teacher has sent you an email invitation, you can tap on the link in the email. After clicking the link, this will take you to a screen to either sign up or log into your existing account. Once you have logged into your account, you will see that you are connected to your child’s class. Teacher Search
If you have not received an invite code or email link, you can still search for your child’s school and teacher and request to connect to the class. After you have requested to connect, you will see a pending connection within your account. Once the teacher accepts your request, this will become active, and you will see a “New Class Connection” post within your Story feed. Tapestry
Your child is in the early years or has an EHCP you can engage with their Tapestry account to see how they are progressing in school and upload activities you have completed at home.
Logging in
Your child’s teacher will have linked you to your child’s account using the details you provided. The first time you log in you need to follow the activation link emailed from the school. Once your account log in is activated and you have created your password then you can log in through this link:
Once you have successfully logged in. You will be taken to the home page. Here you will be able to see your child’s observations from the observations tab. If you have siblings at the school you will be linked to them all and you can select which child you want to look at by clicking on the ‘Children’ tab, located next to the observations tab. Unfortunately, if you have two children on Tapestry, but from different Settings, you will need to have two parent accounts.
At the top of the screen, next to your name, you will find your notification bell. If any observations/comments have been added since the last time you logged into Tapestry, they will show up there. You can see past notifications by clicking on ‘View All Notifications’.
In the top right hand corner you can see your user name. If you click on this a drop down menu will appear and from here you can ‘Edit Preferences’, access help, downloads and ‘log out’. Tapestry will log you off automatically if you close the page or are inactive for an hour or more.
‘Edit preferences’ will show you which children you are connected to you, your notification preferences, and give you the option to change your email and password.
